Quality Engineer Four Most Important Tasks
  • Maintenance of Integrated Management System. Review and update the Integrated Management System (Safety, Quality, Environment) procedures based on updates to relevant standards, legislation, customer requirements, problems, etc.
  • Problem Investigation. Review Internal and External complaints, perform problem solving to identify root causes and countermeasures, interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Auditing. Organize internal and external audits related to the Integrated Management System to ensure compliance and certification to IATF 16949 (ISO 9001), ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
  • Support Site Quality Culture. Prepare and deliver trainings to the organization to ensure all employees are aware of the importance of safe working practices, quality topics, environmental regulation, etc.
Your Responsibilities
  • Maintain the health of the Quality System by reviewing/updating documents as necessary, following document control protocol, preparing necessary reports (e.g., CofC, CofA), correctly applying Hold process (including Management notification), ensuring deviations are properly authorized prior to shipment, etc.
  • Support the Quality Technician, Receiving Inspectors, and Final Inspectors to ensure product(s) and processes comply with Customer requirements and the Quality Management System.
  • Prepare & submit PPAP documentation to Customers per Customer-required due dates.
  • Participant of the corrective action and continuous improvement processes.
  • Handle Customer complaints and root cause & corrective/preventive actions. Assure Datwyler’s timely response to Customers and Suppliers. Review and disposition (rework, scrap, etc.) parts returned from Customer.
  • Participate in internal audits – create audit finding reports, assist with corrective and preventive actions and closing out audit findings.
  • Participate in external audits (i.e., Customers, Registrars) as requested by Quality Manager.
  • Conduct external Supplier audits as directed by Quality Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage calibrations and control of documented information.
  • Provide support, including training, to relevant plant personnel, regarding specific safety, quality, environmental, and customer requirements, as necessary.
  • Work with all departments to ensure Quality of products and shipping requirements.
  • Timely completion of SAP ERP data entry.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of office areas.

All other responsibilities as defined by the Quality Manager.

Experience and Skills for Success

Minimum 6 months experience in Quality or related field

Prior experience in Quality Assurance or technical degree in Quality/Engineering

Working knowledge of statistical methods

Experience with Quality documentation and processes

Experience with Customer and Supplier interactions

Communication, problem solving, project management skills

High proficiency in MS Office applications
