WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN AN ON-THE-ROAD CAREGIVER

  • 1+ years of caregiving experience
  • 18+ years old
  • Ability to pass DHS background check
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Valid insurance


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR HIRE YOU MUST HAVE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older

  • Associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older

  • Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older

  • Minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person


YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR ON-THE-ROAD CAREGIVER

This full-time floating direct care role works 40-hour, Monday - Friday weeks.

As an On-The-Road Caregiver, you play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. While working in this floating role, you have the opportunity to work closely with individuals on a one-on-one basis, providing instruction and assistance to help them achieve their individualized goals. Additionally, as the direct care professional, you also step in to assist with caseloads as needed. This includes overseeing the responsibilities assigned in the person's coordinated service and support plan, facilitating the accomplishment of outcomes, providing instruction and assistance to direct support staff, and evaluating the effectiveness of service delivery and progress toward goals. Your expertise and dedication ensure that individuals receive the support they need to thrive and achieve their desired outcomes.
