Job SummaryThe Caregiver Assistant will provide personalized support and care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for working with seniors.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Maintain awareness of each resident's general state of physical and mental health and report any changes to the Wellness Director.
- Keep an inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Assist with finding shift coverage when unexpected call-outs occur.
- Develop and maintain assignments for the Wellness Director.
- Assist in orienting and onboarding new Wellness Associates.
- Respond to resident emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Assist residents with keeping their units clean, neat, and orderly.
- Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
- Current State Nurse's Aide registration preferred but not required.
- Experience and passion in working with seniors.
- Able to perform tasks that may be physically demanding, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Able to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- Physically able to bend and reach.
- Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 60 pounds at times.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
- May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
- May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
