Position Overview: Coordinates projects and activities for marketing products or services by performing the following duties. Prepares and develops social media content to support and enhance GGC’s brand, drive sales, and build brand awareness.  Monitors, posts to, and analyzes social media channels to build a community of followers and enhance interaction.  Responsibilities include developing an overall marketing plan, building marketing campaigns, and measuring the return on investment of various advertising methods.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies of present industry-leading marketing.
  • Lead the development of marketing plans, working closely with customers, management, creative and content teams, and distribution/manufacturing partners to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our products and services.
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts customers to the product or service.
  • Develop marketing strategies for incoming new products or services that comply with current company standards.
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.) to better understand marketing ROI and measurable KPIs.
  • Coordinate the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including design of test/control segmentation, implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategies, product/service concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages an increase in traffic and member enrollments.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices and then acting on the information.
  • Maintains customer information that generates internal database information, such as lists and counts for direct marketing projects.
  • Establishes marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.
  • Coordinates with various departments on restaurant. events, trade show exhibits, promotions, packaging, and travels to and participates in trade shows when necessary.
  • Helps prepare for involvement in community organizations and events.
  • Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, including Web site development and utilization, and establishes and maintains the company's presence in mailing lists and newsgroups.
  • Works closely with graphic artists, writers, and Web developers in the design and usability of the Web site and Sales Flyers.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize the effects of competitive activity.
  • Plans and oversees the organization's advertising and promotion activities specifically linked to its Web presence, such as contests, tours, and seminars.
  • Communicates with outside advertising agencies on ongoing Web-based campaigns.
  • Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

Qualifications

Experience

4-6 years' Experience in media, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, public relations, communications, journalism, business, marketing, advertising, English, or other related field of study preferred.  In-depth knowledge of the key social media channels, social media platforms, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios; Knowledge of the ins and outs of all social media channels, using them effectively for work and personal.  Proficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, Adobe, WordPress, and other Information Systems.  Working knowledge of current digital advertising trends, best practices, and emerging social media tools.  Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.  Proven ability to plan and manage budgets.  Proven ability to lead a team of direct reports as well as lead a team as a liaison.  Proven ability to lead a team of direct reports as well as lead a team as a liaison.  Established portfolio of ROIs, KPIs, references, and industry contacts.

 

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, public relations, communications, journalism, business, marketing, advertising, English, or other related field of study preferred. 

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Vision- must be able to see with or without corrective lenses.  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

 

Availability

Ability to work an open schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of GGC.  Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
