HOURS: Part-time, as little as 4 hours per week or as many as 20 hours per week. Flexible schedule, Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm

SALARY: $14-$15 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES: LSS Childcare & Education Services offers engaging after school experiences for students ages 5-21 with varying abilities. We are seeking part-time professionals to help care for a great group of kids for our after school program at our Here4Youth location. Key responsibilities include: leading fun activities, communicating with parents, medication administration, feeding and diapering of some students, light cleaning, and working with co-workers to ensure that all children are safe and well cared for.

LSS provides staff with a strong team of supervisors to ensure a high level of comfort in their role, training and communication, and an open concept facility that is stocked with supplies, toys, and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required; plus 3 months of childcare experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a strong desire to help students with varying abilities. Some students require special care due to medical conditions that limit their mobility and/or communication skills. Must be at least 18 years old and meet licensing requirements including no substantiated report of child abuse or neglect and no felony in the last five years. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
