Client Overview:

Our client is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in the sale of promotional products, with a particular focus on the souvenir business. With an exciting array of clients, including renowned institutions like the San Diego Zoo and the Statue of Liberty gift shop, our client prides itself on delivering unique and memorable items to retailers and distributors.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Representative with a background in promotional products. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client's business, targeting new opportunities in the souvenir market. This position requires someone who has sold souvenirs or novelty products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities within the souvenir market, focusing on retailers and distributors.
  • Utilize a strategic approach to understand the unique needs of each customer, as there is no one-size-fits-all solution in this diverse market.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients, demonstrating a keen understanding of the promotional product landscape.
  • Identify and pursue key accounts, including high-profile clients such as the San Diego Zoo and the Statue of Liberty gift shop.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the specific requirements of each client.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, with a background in promotional products.
  • 5 or more years of experience selling promotional products.
  • Ability to adapt to a non-cookie-cutter approach, understanding the diverse needs of different customers in the novelty space.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a commitment to learning and mastering the souvenir business.

Location and Compensation:

This position is initially based on-site for training and is expected to transition to a remote setup. Candidates residing in WA, NC, SC, or CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay: The base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 with additional commissions. The first-year On-Target Earnings (OTE) are expected to be in the range of $120,000 to $150,000.
