POSITION TITLE: CREO Animation Specialist

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Supports, using CREO Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, animation projects and other technical animation needs. Takes source CAD drawings and creates additional drawings needed to support animation. Works with Design Engineering, Technical Training, Operations, and approved suppliers to create 3D animations for installation instructions, product designs, and work instructions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update, annotate, and create additional CAD drawings generated during product design for the purpose of creating animations.
  • Manage drawing projects for animations from the Design Engineering/Drafting side (with Technical Training input and direction) from concept through completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams at Clearfield and liaise with Supplier/Application Developer to ensure that drawings and proposed animations align with technical specifications and brand standards.
  • Continue/upgrade drawings for animations based on feedback from both Clearfield and supplier development teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and ease of use.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD Software applications, animation trends, techniques, and technologies to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of install documentation.
  • Participate in regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and discuss timelines and deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree in CAD or related technical education.
  • 2 years’ experience utilizing CAD to support a manufacturing organization. Experience supporting animation, graphic design, and/or related mediums preferred.
  • Proven experience in 3D CAD modeling using CREO. Strong understanding of CAD files and formats.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both within an internal team and in partnership with external stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering clear and intuitive content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.
