Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and managing site development projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Project Design and Management:
- Design and develop site engineering plans, including grading, drainage, utility layout, and erosion control.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
Technical Expertise:
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
- Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD) for project design and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, landscape architects, and environmental consultants.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in civil/site engineering, preferably within a consulting firm.
- Proven experience in site development, stormwater management, and utility design.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
