Purpose of Job: Responsible for coordinating daily human resources activities, such as employment, labor relations, benefits, leave, and employee services. Enforces company policies and practices. Maintains all company HR records. Assists in the administration of the safety program.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel, including federal vetting and background checks.
  • Monitor timely completion of employee performance reviews.
  • Monitor employee PTO leave and time records, ensuring policies are followed and accurate records are maintained.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures and maintain the employee handbook.
  • Perform benefits administration and communicate benefit information to employees. Lead open enrollment.
  • Assist in evaluating medical plan and other benefits plans effectiveness.
  • Administer FMLA.
  • Administer Worker’s Compensation.
  • Maintain the affirmative action program; file EEO and Affirmative Action (when/if applicable) reports in a timely manner; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees, which may include placing ads, screening resumes, and sending screened resumes to supervisors.
  • Conduct new-employee onboarding, ensuring employees complete all necessary processes and are adequately trained on security protocols and HIPAA.
  • Handle employee relations counseling and outplacement EAP counseling.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvement.
  • Maintain all human resource information/records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Promote and monitor wellness programs for company employees.
  • Assist with payroll processing as needed.
  • Assist with the safety plan and participate on the safety committee.
  • Review and update all HR SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or administration role.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical workday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Noise: moderate
