Supervisor: SVP Development

Job Summary: Responsible for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for: management, capital raise, and investment. Work closely with the SVP Development and the executive team, to develop and execute strategies to maximize business development, across management and investment areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    • Identify, analyze and procure new third-party management contracts.
    • Identify, analyze and procure management company candidates for merger/acquisition.
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances to result in third party management opportunities.
  2. Capital Raise / Investment:
    • Identify, analyze and procure debt and equity capital/relationships.
    • Identify and analyze capital investment opportunities.
    • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence to assess investment risks and potential returns.
    • Prepare investment proposals and presentations for internal review by the ALH Investment Committee.
    • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on capital raise performance and investment activities.
  3. Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with the executive team to define long-term strategic objectives and goals of business development and the raising of capital.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
    • Develop actionable strategies to position the company for sustained growth and competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in hospitality business development or capital investment roles.
  • Full understanding of hotel owner / investor needs, and ability to instill trust and confidence.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work within financial models and legal contracts.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
