SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Support Specialist, where you will enhance the customer experience and expand the utilization of our innovative systems. Collaborate with Sterile Processing Departments (SPD) and Operating Rooms (OR) to integrate our cutting-edge solutions seamlessly into their operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive revenue growth through increased system utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform routine system maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist SPD with system setup, loading, and tray audits.
  • Facilitate system transport and delivery to the OR.
  • Communicate daily with SPD/OR staff, resolving issues and offering alternatives.
  • Conduct OR visits to identify and address potential issues.
  • Provide in-service training and ongoing education for SPD/OR staff.
  • Collaborate with coordinators to select cases for system use.
  • Develop and implement action plans to streamline processes.
  • Participate in new employee orientation, training, and quality assurance programs.
  • Conduct satisfaction surveys and address customer needs proactively.
  • Assist in redesigning vendor tray management programs.
  • Track and manage metrics like setup times and processing times.
  • Develop and manage preference cards for orthopedic and spine cases.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in SPD/Central Services, Surgical Service, and/or the OR.
  • Understanding of process-based work and basic mechanical skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work non-standard schedules.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and software programs.
  • Strong collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, adaptable, and customer service-oriented.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and other screenings.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work involves exposure to diverse healthcare environments, including ORs and administrative areas. Physical demands include standing, walking, and prolonged movement. Flexible scheduling may be necessary to meet customer needs.
