The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our concrete and masonry operations. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in concrete and construction operations, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to effectively manage a team to ensure efficient and timely production and delivery of concrete and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
 
  • Oversee the daily operations on job sites, schedule & oversee crews, order and deliver materials to multiple job sites daily.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Team Leadership:
 
  • Manage and lead multiple teams of production such as Masons & Concrete labor, drivers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Schedule staff and coordinate shifts to meet production and delivery demands.
  • Follow General Manager metrics on cost, time and quality.

Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials and finished products.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule and perform preventive maintenance.

Customer Relations:
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and ensure timely projects deliverables.
  • Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to concrete and construction projects.

Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, operational efficiency, and other relevant data.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in concrete production and operations management.
  • Strong understanding of concrete and construction processes, equipment, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Builder’s Trend).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.

Physical Requirements:
 
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
