Join Our Team: Northern Hills Child Care is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team, supporting the growth and development of children with diverse needs, including those who exhibit challenging behaviors. What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement engaging, inclusive lesson plans that accommodate the unique needs of each child, focusing on social-emotional learning and resilience.
  • Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment for children with a variety of backgrounds and needs, including those exhibiting violent behaviors.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families, creating a partnership that supports the child’s well-being and development.
  • Employ strategies for managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors in a compassionate and effective manner.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills in supporting children with behavioral challenges.

Who You Are:

  • You have experience in child care, education, or a related field, with a particular interest in or experience with children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • You possess a deep understanding of and commitment to inclusion, empathy, and patience in your teaching approach.
  • You are skilled in creating and implementing strategies that support social-emotional development and address behavioral challenges.
  • You are resilient, able to maintain composure and provide stability in challenging situations.
  • You share our core values of inclusion, hope, and the belief in every child’s potential to grow and succeed.
  • You are passionate about your own professional growth and welcome opportunities for learning.
