Day to day as a Behavior Specialist

As a new Behavior Specialist at Wasatch Behavioral Health, you can expect to work closely with teens in our Xcel Program for Teens in Provo, Utah, from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a competitive wage of $15.62-$14.79 per hour. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing behavioral interventions, conducting assessments, monitoring progress, and providing support to clients and their families. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and participate in team meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in behavioral health interventions. Join us in making a difference in the lives of youth in our community and embark on a fulfilling career as a Behavior Specialist.

What we're looking for in a Behavior Specialist

To excel as a Behavior Specialist at Wasatch Behavioral Health, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with teens and their families. Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential qualities for this role. You should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, creativity in developing interventions, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment. A background or interest in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is beneficial. Moreover, a passion for helping others, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations will contribute to your success in this position.
