IT Support Technician

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Infrastructure Support Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking an IT Support Technician who possesses a passion for providing quality customer service and strong communication skills. This role will provide Tier 1 technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Respond to customers in person, over the phone, or via e-mail using IT ticketing system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.
  • Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose, research and resolve tier 1 technical hardware and software issues.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Provides desktop support for all user devices and applications.
  • Responsible for PC maintenance, including maintaining our inventory, conducting repair and replacements through vendors as well as new PC deployment.
  • Assist the Systems Administrator with various system and network tasks.
  • Maintains the inventory of all hardware and software.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Windows 10
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic Active Directory knowledge
  • Antivirus (Endpoint and Server)
  • PC hardware
  • Basic network troubleshooting -- networked and wireless connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of desktop support experience. A+, MCSA certification is a plus.
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Printers-Copiers
  • Strong customer support skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

Status: Full-Time
