Auditor III

We are currently searching for a detail-oriented and diligent Auditor III to join our ServiceMaster Restore team to perform franchise business audits. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your advanced auditing skills to organizational audit projects, which may include financial, operational, or compliance programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures
  • Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
  • Prepare working papers and audit reports
  • Maintain detailed records of audit findings
  • Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to leadership
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization’s risk areas and provide input to the development of the Annual Audit Plan.
  • Develop and maintain productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of current accounting and auditing practices as well as industry trends by participating in ongoing professional development
  • Partner with independent auditors and provide data in support of external audits as needed
  • Document and evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and franchise requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
  • 4-6 years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation
  • A graduate degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, or certification such as a CIA, CPA, or CISA may substitute for one year of required experience.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Proven experience applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors
  • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices
  • Knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Experience conducting quality control reviews of audit work products
  • Experience collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
  • Ability to plan and project manage to meet deadlines
  • Advanced skills in consulting, negotiating, and problem resolution
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and in a professional team environment
  • Proven customer service experience with the ability to leave a positive impact
