3rd Shift Supervisor at QuantumPoly Innovations

Responsibilities:

- Lead, support, and build a high-performing team, making recommendations on hiring and training associates on standard plastic packaging manufacturing processes.

- Ensure all Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics and continuous improvement initiatives are met and sustained in our food-grade packaging production.

- Prioritize the production schedule based on customer demand, equipment and staffing efficiency, material supplies, and business priorities, coordinating between functional areas to provide on-time delivery.

- Take initiative and make decisions within approval limits, keeping management informed of developments as they occur.

- Plan and manage costs responsibly, including labor, production, maintenance, shop supplies, tooling, and fixtures for our plastic packaging lines.

- Conduct pre-shift meetings, provide hands-on training, and direct work on the 3rd shift for our injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion processes.

- Evaluate associate performance, provide regular feedback, and complete annual performance and compensation reviews.

- Identify and address gaps in our systems to ensure effectiveness and compliance with food-grade packaging standards.

- Drive continuous improvement efforts, leading kaizen projects and fostering a culture of innovation.

Required Qualifications:

- Education and experience:

- High school degree with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision, OR

- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in a related field

- High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment

- Willingness to work 3rd shift and adapt to changing responsibilities based on business needs

- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others; excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to drive organizational performance

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with manufacturing software systems

- Knowledge of food-grade packaging regulations and quality control processes

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in plastic manufacturing, particularly in food and beverage packaging

- Familiarity with injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion processes

- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts, Six Sigma methodologies, or kaizen projects

- Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and technologies

- Demonstrated planning and organizational agility in a growth-oriented company
