Job Description: Risk Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Risk Manager to join our organization and lead our risk management efforts. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could potentially impact the company's operations, financial stability, or reputation. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of risk management principles, and the ability to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various areas of the organization, including operational, financial, strategic, and compliance risks.
  2. Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize potential losses and ensure business continuity.
  3. Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key risk indicators (KRIs), and prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  4. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to risk management.
  5. Insurance Management: Manage the company's insurance portfolio, including policy renewals, claims management, and coverage analysis.
  6. Crisis Management: Develop and maintain crisis management plans and protocols to respond effectively to unexpected events or crises.
  7. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance risk awareness and build risk management capabilities across the organization.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and IT, to integrate risk management practices into business processes.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve risk management processes and methodologies based on industry best practices and lessons learned.
  10. External Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, insurers, and industry peers, to stay informed of emerging risks and trends.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as CRM or ARM preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Risk Manager or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO).
  • Experience with risk management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
