At Copeland Buhl, one of the Midwest’s leading accounting and advisory services firms, we offer the comprehensive expertise of a market leader—while never losing sight of the things the people we serve appreciate most. With little staff turnover, we can deliver the consistent personal service that our clients crave, year after year.


This role will focus on tax processing throughout the year by processing and assembling electronic and paper tax documents for client delivery, scanning and downloading client documents, and supporting the firm with other administrative duties. This position will have a flexible schedule with 40-50+ hours expected during January 1st—April 15th and August 15th—September 15th. The remainder of the year will require approximately 20-30 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, assemble, and deliver electronic and mail deliverables of tax returns, estimates, extensions, and other documents.
  • E-file tax returns & extensions and monitor acceptances.
  • Tax due date management.
  • Scan client documents.
  • Create and organize client’s electronic file.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Dependable, reliable, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to self-review.
  • Can-do attitude with an ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime (mornings or evenings and Saturdays) as needed during tax season.
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills with ability to print, collate, and assemble documents both electronically and physically.
  • Tech savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
