Position Summary: An Electrical Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects in various settings, such as construction sites, industrial plants, or commercial facilities. This role involves managing resources, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of electrical projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to ensure projects are delivered successfully, meeting quality standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, electricians, and subcontractors. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the team.
  • Allocate resources, including materials, labor, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency. Monitor resource usage and adjust plans as needed.
  • Develop and manage project budgets. Track expenses, forecast costs, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Oversee the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. Promote a culture of safety on the project site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or changes in scope.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and reports.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve issues as they arise to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed to satisfaction, conduct final inspections, and manage the handover process.
  • Other duties as assigned or as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in electrical project management, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.

Work Environment:

  • The role may require working in both office settings and on-site at construction or industrial locations.
  • Some travel may be required depending on the project location.
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions if required by on-site visits.
