ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a SALES PROFESSIONAL, to join our NEW YORK METRO TEAM. This is a field sales position to cover New York City, Northern NJ, and Connecticut. New Jersey home base preferred.

You will be a highly motivated sales and business developer, with a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities with commercial contractors, installers, architects, and ARDEX distributor partners, through job site visits, cold calls, professional presentations and a solution driven, "customer first" approach.

Daily travel with some overnight required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive, develop, promote and maximize sales of ARDEX products and systems with our distributor partners
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with our industry partners such as distributors, contractors, specifiers and installers.
  • Prospect and win new business opportunities through job site visits, cold calls, and lead follow up
  • Successfully launch and promote new products via hands on product demonstrations, presentations & professional product displays
  • Partner with Corporate resources such Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics etc., to deliver exceptional standards of service to ARDEX customers
  • Develop and successfully execute field sales action plans. Achieve and exceed targets, goals and objectives, as established with Sales Manager
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards, and a 'customer first' approach.


  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required.
  • Knowledge of flooring installation systems is preferred
  • Technically proficient: familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the business. Solution-driven, professional, proactive and responsive. Confident and engaging presentation skills
  • Proficient in digital systems including CRM systems
  • Self-starter - able to adapt within a fast paced and changing market
  • Able to make sound business decisions, influence, be assertive and close a sale
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory as per advertised amounts, including some overnight
  • Able to operate non power and power tools. Good mechanical and hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Able to lift to 70 pounds (on occasion) with a carrying capability of 55 pounds

Education:

  • College degree preferred or, minimum high school diploma /GED and industry related experience
