Job Summary:
Route 128 Honda is seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk for our dealership in Reading, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, administrative role within the auto industry. With room to grow and advance your career.  As an individual contributor, the Automotive Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records for our dealership. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting or bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, paid weekly. In addition to competitive pay, Route 128 Honda offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
• Process and record dealership transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank deposits
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records using dealership accounting software
• Assist with Human resource and payroll functions
• Assist with inventory management and recordkeeping
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Provide administrative support to the dealership's financial team
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Proficiency in using dealership accounting software, CDK experience is a plus
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze and identify discrepancies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
