Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Standards: Create and enforce comprehensive BIM/CAD standards to ensure project consistency and excellence.
- BIM/CAD Libraries: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of BIM/CAD libraries, setting high standards for graphic and written assets.
- Quality Control: Champion rigorous quality control processes, documenting and sharing best practices to enhance project outcomes.
- Technical Support: Provide exceptional technical support, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
- Training Programs: Design and conduct Revit/CAD training programs for users at all skill levels to enhance team capabilities.
- IT Collaboration: Work with the IT Manager to identify budget needs and technological advancements for robust Revit/CAD systems.
- Industry Research: Stay at the forefront of industry developments, incorporating the latest tools and skills into team practices.
- Strategic Reporting: Report quarterly to Principals on team achievements, challenges, and future needs, providing strategic insights.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Associate degree, trade school completion, or equivalent formal education in a related field.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years in the AEC industry with 2+ years in a BIM/CAD Manager role, ideally with municipal project experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D; proven ability to provide effective training and support.
- Additional Expertise: Familiarity with LISP/VBA/ARX programming and 3D software (SketchUp, Navisworks) is advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of network technologies (Microsoft) and experience with government standards (OSHPD, DSA, LADBS).
