Learning Programs Assistant

Position Overview: The Learning Programs Assistant supports all Learning Division programs, including the DC Ticket Partnership, Moving Stories, Voices of Now, and camp initiatives. Responsibilities include teaching artist scheduling, training, and serving as Camp Manager during Camp Arena Stage summer programming. Additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Community Engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative and Logistical Support:
- Provide general administrative support to Learning Division staff.
- Coordinate First Aid and CPR training for staff.
- Assist with participant registration, maintaining accurate records, and program scheduling.
- Support outreach efforts and logistics for special activities, events, and outings.
Event Coordination and Program Evaluation:
- Assist with workshops, tours, and visits for development and fundraising.
- Collect feedback from participants and parents/guardians to support development requests.
Qualifications:
- BA/BFA/BS in Theater, Education, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience working with youth in camp or in/after school programs.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Skills Required:
- Experience with youth ages 6-18 in camp or educational programs.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with enthusiasm for the performing arts and arts education.
