The Program Manager will be responsible for leading all project planning, management, and oversight for key initiatives during the implementation of major programs, ensuring that all of Neapco’s and our Customers’ objectives are completed on-time, on budget, and with an extremely high quality of deliverables. The Program Manager is responsible to lead a cross functional team to identify risks, mitigate whenever possible, and escalate when necessary. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Program Management and is based at our World Headquarters & Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Job Description: Program Manager

Including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead both regional & global programs for new product incorporation
    1. Develop and track overall timing plans
    2. Program financial and budget tracking/reporting
    3. Lead diverse cross functional teams through normal and emergency activities
    4. Act as risk manager and identify, track, and propose solutions for functional and program issues
    5. Lead monitoring and status reporting of customer sourced projects, adhering to gate review cadence
    6. Assist in developing and implementing lean Global Program Management procedures and systems
  • Platform responsibility after launch to assure that all changes and minor launches are completed to both Neapco’s and the customer’s requirements
  • Maintain regular communication with all customers, both internal and external
  • Train and lead program teams to utilize tools and systems required to meet our program objectives
  • Act as single point contact for customer issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management on complex global programs
  • Knowledge of powertrain products and processes preferred (half shafts, axles, and transmissions a plus)
  • Experience working in multi-cultural business environments
  • An ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Program Management experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in at least two other functional areas (manufacturing, product development, sales, and or supply chain management)
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for consistently delivering high quality work
  • Proficient Microsoft Project and Office365 skills
  • Demonstrated experience ability in process/procedure development
  • Understanding of inputs/outputs for production, engineering, quality, and MP&L disciplines
  • Knowledge and understanding of VDA/IATF/APQP quality systems
  • Good working knowledge of project financial principles and Neapco financial tools
  • Ability/willingness to travel (25% maximum, primarily during launch phases) both domestically and internationally

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, combination of education and experience will be evaluated in absence of degree
