We are looking for a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager to join our team in Elkhorn, WI. This is a full-time, weekday, on-site role. This is not hybrid or remote. We are located in Elkhorn, WI. The pay range $55K - $60K (based on recent, relevant experience).

As a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager, you will oversee the department's activities and manage the company's materials inventory.

In this role, you'll perform the following duties:


Purchase supplies, materials, equipment, and parts for the company.
Maintain knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; directs purchasing programs accordingly.
Developing and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials used.
Negotiates and completes contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.
Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
Collaborates with sales, customer service, and logistics departments to maximize efficiency in the purchasing and inventory control department.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve problems regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
Set authorization limits for purchasing staff.
Lead on monthly cycle counts and annual complete physical inventory count
Oversee the creation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders
Purchases large and complex items.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business or a related field with coursework in purchasing and/or inventory control management is preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
At least five years of buying or purchasing experience is required, with supervisory experience preferred.
Proven negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
