Position purpose:

To provide efficient and reliable maintenance services in order to preserve the facility and grounds for guests and team members. The facility apprentice works alongside fully qualified facility technicians to learn the skills of the trade. As a facility apprentice, your responsibilities are to assist with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines. You may also need to complete classroom or online training about HVAC structures, plumbing, and electrical and mechanical systems and components.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Check the work order schedule daily upon arrival and perform any scheduled or daily maintenance tasks as needed.

· Respond quickly to on-demand requests for maintenance and repair services.

· Be observant of the overall condition and appearance of the building and grounds and report any maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager.

· Perform general repairs on the facility and equipment, including but not limited to; restaurant refrigerators, electrical switches, painting walls and floors, laying bricks, installing tiles, clearing clogged drains, repairing plumbing or heating & air conditioning equipment, rewiring offices, moving furniture, etc.

· Install and maintain industrial equipment and physical structures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18.

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Requires at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the job duties and responsibilities specified.


Licensing:

· Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License


Work Requirements:

Shift: Full-Time

Requires problem solving skills, knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged sitting, walking, stooping or bending, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Work is performed in the casino and / or outdoor environment with varying levels of exposure to the elements, noise, illumination, air quality, and / or temperature.
