This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of cannabis production regulations and best practices. Duties & Responsibilities: Quality Control Management:
• Develop and implement a quality management program and protocols for all stages of cannabis production.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure consistency in product quality.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance documentation which could include batch records, testing results, compliance reports etc.

Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines governing cannabis production and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to cannabis cultivation, processing, and distribution.
• Liaise with other departments, regulatory agencies, and third-party auditors to facilitate inspections and maintain necessary certifications

Training and Education:
• Create a quality training program to provide guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization through ongoing education and communication initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of quality objectives and priorities.

Supplier and Vendor Management:
• Assist with the evaluation of suppliers and vendors based on quality criteria, reliability, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Establish quality agreements and specifications for raw materials, equipment, and services procured for cannabis production.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.

Continuous Improvement:
• Lead initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality and consistency.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address deviations from quality standards and prevent recurrence.
  Required Skills & Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as agriculture, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline. Advanced degree or certification in quality management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading quality assurance or quality control within the food, cannabis, CPG industry or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cannabis cultivation, processing, and distribution practices, as well as applicable regulations (e.g., GMP, GPP, ISO, FDA).
• Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in data analysis and quality management software/tools.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.Industry & Physical Requirements:
