GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Supports the Chief Medical Officer in the development of the organization-wide performance improvement plan and annual priorities. Leads performance improvement activity in alignment with priorities with particular focus on clinical quality measures and targets. Trains organizational leadership in the utilization of performance improvement tools and methodologies. The Quality and Performance Improvement Engineer improves performance and efficiency of designated clinical and operational systems thru collaborative action planning informed by data and workflow analysis. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing performance improvement opportunities, enabling successful transformations across the enterprise, including leading, using and training leadership in process improvement techniques.

The schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, generally from 8:00am – 5:00pm. The position is hybrid and will be located in our main Livestock Exchange Campus in Omaha, NE (30th and L). The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule once training is completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s degree in Public Health (or related field) or RN license required.

- A minimum of two years’ experience in an analytical role with healthcare industry data analysis, included demonstrated knowledge of in Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Proficiency in statistical analysis preferred.

- Demonstrated proficiency in project and time management skills required.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical and organizational skills required.

- Familiarity with healthcare industry databases such as: Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), National Quality Forum (NQF), etc., as well as experience utilizing business intelligence, relational database, and data warehouse methodologies preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple action items or projects at the same time and maintain objectivity is required. Experience with performance improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean in a healthcare environment is required.
