What's your day like?

As a Certified Medication Assistant at Known Memory Care, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their medication needs according to care plans and protocols. You will work closely with the nursing team to ensure accurate administration and documentation of medications. Your role will involve monitoring residents for any adverse reactions and promptly reporting issues to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and clean medication storage area, as well as participating in training and ongoing education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulations. What matters most

To excel as a Certified Medication Assistant at Known Memory Care, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, you must complete 12 hours of continued education courses annually, which will be provided through community in-services to ensure you stay current with best practices. If required by the state, you must demonstrate CMA Certification to meet regulatory standards.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration is crucial for this role, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team. A compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care, combined with the ability to problem solve and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, will contribute to your success in this position at our facility.
