The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company. The Accounts Payable Specialist is accountable for day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner of the programs. The Accounts Payable Specialist collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote the Renewal Health Group values, team culture, and mission.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Accounts Payable Specialist is accountable for day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner of the programs
- Verify and perform initial review on vendors' legitimacy, including obtaining contracts or agreements, invoices, W-9s, and other supporting documents
- Own and maintain vendor profiles in both accounting system and payment solution
- Perform daily AP duties by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Assign bills to correct GL accounts and cost centers by evaluating invoice/expense reports
- Assist with month-end AP accrual procedures by preparing assessments of accounts and producing monthly reports
- Keep track of and issue 1099 reports
- Assist with annual financial audits and ad-hoc regulatory audits
- Continually improve the payment process and controls
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pre-Employment Requirements
