SR. FINANCE MANAGER

The SR. FINANCE MANAGER will be responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The candidate will be involved in supporting financial, projections and strategic presentations to the board’s finance and audit committees and will work closely with the senior leadership team. In addition, the role will be to partner with Senior Leadership, the Human Resources (HR) Professional Services staff to enhance and better integrate Finance, HR, and Delivery functions.

The responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status.
  • Assisting leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administering and reviewing all financial plans and comparing to actual results with a view to identifying, explaining and correcting variances as appropriate;
  • Supporting the Sr. VP of Operations with issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery;
  • Managing organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the Sr. VP of Operations and CEO and collaborating with Senior Leadership to assess the financial efficacy of operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support operations.
  • Post bimonthly payrolls to proper GL accounts and classes.
  • Post Labor burden reports to proper classes
  • Reconcile Bank accounts.
  • Add all new bookings to the Financial Statement spreadsheet.
  • Pull projections and post 3 months to financial statements.
  • Export utilization from certain platforms and do journal entries.
  • Post JE for accrued commission
  • Reconcile Expense Accounts and add recurring entries for any new prepaids.
  • Review GL for all transactions for the previous month before populating financial spreadsheet.
  • Populate financial spreadsheet (green tabs) and correct errors, confirm rollup is working properly.
  • Monthly and quarterly commission/bonuses for Professional Services- Delivery Team.

The SR. FINANCE MANAGER will report directly to the CEO and collaborate effectively with the Leadership Team as required. This role is an extraordinary opportunity for a mature leader with a few years of accounting and strong finance reporting and analysis experience, ideally beginning in accounting followed by experience in gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial multi-state and global finance information to executive teams and external stakeholders.

Other qualifications required for this role, include:

  • A minimum qualification of an Accounting Degree with 10+ years’ experience. Extensive knowledge in multi-state taxes and global finances.
  • Solid experience managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and accounting for investments.
  • This candidate will ideally have experience using QuickBooks Desktop and Online on an expert level and should have very strong and expert excel skills to be able to build complex financial charts and spreadsheets.
  • Technology savvy with experience in selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software; Expert experience in Excel and QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.
  • Implementation knowledge of ERP/SAP systems desirable.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to Organization’s mission.
  • A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who in partnership with the Sr. VP of Operations will take up the responsibility for finance.
