As a Senior Electrical Engineer on the Vehicle Integration Team you will play a key role in developing Ample's next generation Vehicle Integration System.

What You'll Do:
  • Participate in activities to define new electrical hardware features and requirements
  • Implement functional safety concepts into the hardware design
  • Design electrical hardware including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Collaborate with functional safety team to develop a DFMEA for the hardware design
  • Work closely with PCBA fab houses on bringing the hardware to mass production
  • Develop and execute test plans and test procedures for Ample Vehicle Integration System
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members including mechanical, software and thermal engineers to ensure that testing meets all design and performance requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • 6+ years of Electrical Engineering experience (Automotive industry preferred).
  • Minimum of B.S. in Electrical Engineering, higher degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient with common communication protocols and their hardware implementation (CAN / SPI / I2C / Serial / USB)
  • Basic knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, common analog / digital EE systems and embedded systems
  • Experience with circuit analysis and have basic circuit modeling skills
  • Rapid prototyping experience
  • Desire to work in hands-on environment doing research and work with electrical systems
  • Experience developing a DFMEA
  • Experience with ISO26262
Bonus:
  • Automotive Industry experience
  • Experience with Li-ion batteries and HV battery system
  • Understanding of signal integrity and EMI/EMC best practices
