Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

    • Conduct proactive research and scouting activities to identify promising early-stage startups, innovative technologies, and market trends.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities through networking, industry events, startup competitions, and online platforms.

  • Due Diligence and Analysis:

    • Perform initial screenings and evaluations of startups based on strategic fit, market potential, technology innovation, and founder expertise.
    • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including market analysis, competitive landscape assessment, financial modeling, and risk assessment.

  • Relationship Building:

    • Act as a brand ambassador for the firm, promoting our investment criteria, value proposition, and commitment to supporting early-stage entrepreneurs.

  • Pipeline Management:

    • Manage and prioritize deal flow pipeline, track progress of potential investments, and maintain accurate records in CRM systems or deal tracking tools.
    • Collaborate with investment team members to present investment opportunities, prepare investment memos, and participate in investment committee meetings.

  • Market Research and Industry Insights:

    • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments relevant to venture capital and startup ecosystem.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and benchmarking to inform investment decisions and strategic initiatives.

  • Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates on scouting activities, deal flow pipeline, and market insights for senior management and investment teams.
    • Communicate findings, recommendations, and investment opportunities effectively to internal stakeholders and contribute to investment decision-making processes.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and expertise in venture capital scouting and deal sourcing.
