Assistant General Manager: Container Park


We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. You will collaborate with our general manager to plan and oversee the container park's daily operations, and assume the GM responsibilities in their absence. This position is responsible for managing tenant relationships and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience at our property. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the property's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, and a bachelor's degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred. Compensation:

$45,000

Responsibilities:

Tenant Communication:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with tenants, addressing their needs, concerns, and feedback.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repair requests.
  • Perform regular reviews and check-ins with tenants to ensure adherence to lease agreements, guidelines, and customer service standards.
  • Cultivate positive relationships to enhance the overall tenant experience and ensure a collaborative business environment.


Property Management Collaboration:

  • Provide oversight and feedback for third-party vendors to support operations (landscaping, janitorial, security, maintenance, etc.).
  • Work closely with the general manager to ensure the smooth operation of the container park.
  • Coordinate efforts to maintain and enhance the physical appearance and functionality of the property.


Retail and Sales Oversight:

  • Leverage retail and sales experience to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Support strategies to drive foot traffic, increase sales, and enhance the overall retail environment.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints, challenges, or feedback.


Community Events Management:

  • Support and assist the event team in executing community events to enhance the park's engagement with the local community.
  • Communicate event schedules with tenants and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with tenants to create synergistic events that drive traffic and foster community spirit.


Management and Leadership:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including maintenance, janitorial services, security, and customer service.
  • Track, document, and submit any incident reports involving safety, property, tenants, guests, or otherwise.
  • Track performance metrics to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.


Other responsibilities and duties as required or assigned to fulfill the role.

Qualifications:
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree with preference given to those with a hospitality management degree
  • Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
  • 3+ years of management experience, demonstrating effective leadership
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including tenants, property management, and community members
  • Experience in restaurant management and marketing is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the success of community events
  • Passion for community engagement and event planning
