Job Summary:

The Site Manager is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the terminal, encompassing day-to-day operational, administrative, marketing, and security tasks, including staff management, regulatory compliance, equipment and facility maintenance, and safety, while actively contributing to customer satisfaction, inventory management, and a culture of safety and excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise full and part-time staff, including training, work assignments, and work hours. Emphasize cost control and efficiency while monitoring employee performance and providing appropriate motivation. Set marketing goals for the site and promptly address customer requirements or complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards by conducting regular inspections, requesting repairs or maintenance, and performing minor maintenance tasks. Familiarize and operate the components of a bulk fuel terminal, including tank and pipeline configurations, valving, pumps, gauging and overfill protection, tank truck loading facilities, boat fueling, lubricant sales, and fuel transfers.
  • Coordinate with supply operations and sales and marketing to meet customer requirements and manage inventory needs. Assist in barge resupply scheduling and tracking while maintaining PIC (Person-In-Charge) status.
  • Ensure that all staff and visitors receive proper training and conduct all duties in compliance with safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct frequent safety inspections, secure and lock down tank valves and yard gates, and verify proper storage of hazardous substances. Follow DOT regulations and participate in safety meetings while promptly reporting injuries, spills, and property damage.
  • Identify and communicate job hazards, safety, environmental, and mechanical concerns in a timely manner. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in site operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in the petroleum industry, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates/Licenses:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
  • Drug and Alcohol Training for Supervisors.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Hazmat and Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
