Compensation:

Starts at $60,000 per year and will be commensurate with experience.

Location: 8929 Shoal Creek Blvd, Austin, TX, 78759.

Schedule: Regular full time hours between 8:00 AM and 5:45 PM Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides a pleasant branch atmosphere that is reflective of a sound and secure financial institution with the ultimate respect for members’ privacy and confidentiality.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Branch.
  • Create an educational environment for members and employees alike that teaches the efficiency and effectiveness of digital channels as well as the technology that is used at branches to serve members with their transactional needs.
  • Responsible for documenting personnel files for subordinates including positive or negative counseling, interim reviews, beyond normal reviews and written progress reports on personnel considered for promotions. Responsible for the training, assignment, review, and appraisal of subordinates and for recommending the hire, termination, and/or other change of status of an employee.
  • Provide accurate, courteous, and prompt service to members, both over the phone and in-person.
  • Responsible for always maintaining a professional posture and positive attitude in order to set an example for the staff.
  • Always maintains open communication between management and branch staff.
  • Exhibit supportive attitude of management to staff.
  • Keep the Senior Leadership fully informed on member conditions within the branch office area which could affect credit union operations.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs.
  • Responsible for daily/monthly balancing of the branch, including bait money rotation on a semi-annual basis.
  • Controls vault cash and cash flow including ordering/shipping money, not to exceed branch limits set forth.
  • Attend community functions as assigned/requested that will promote Austin Telco in the branch area.
  • Work-from-home on occasional basis and when business needs arise.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university;
  • or 3-5 years supervisory experience within a bank or credit union and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Good credit standing is also required and will be verified during pre-employment stage. Once a contingent job offer is made, a criminal background check and drug screening will be completed.
