Description of the Position:
The school and community outreach assistant must be a bright and enthusiastic person, able to partner with local schools and organizations at the Brandon and Riverview locations and assist with our internal operations regarding customer service. This person will need strong communication skills, enthusiasm for students/education, and a tenacious personality. They must have excellent time management skills and be detail oriented. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling and ongoing training opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Building new relationships & maintaining current relationships with local schools along side of the owner
  • Foster ongoing relationships and visit with local schools and organizations
  • PTA outreach and engagement and track sponsorships
  • Coordinate and attend Math/STEM events at schools
  • Organize and Clean-up event materials after Math/STEM Night events to include follow up
  • Attend other local networking & community events.
  • Care Calls, Referrals, Parent satisfaction
  • Develop yearly marketing plan in December for the next calendar year
  • Update Yearly Marketing plan on a quarterly basis
  • Design, order and put together materials for marketing (banners, documents, etc)
  • Assist in developing a plan to increase exposure in the community.
  • Assist in developing materials for parents, students, microsite, and social media.
  • Assist in selling memberships & give support to the center as needed
  • Implementing and continuing Center Activities and student incentives
  • Tracking, restocking and organizing supplies in the center

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with students and families
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained
  • Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities
  • Social Media and marketing experience
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Excel spreadsheets
  • Math proficiency is not required but appreciated
