Our mission is to deliver sustainable vegetation management solutions while minimizing environmental impact. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Consent Specialist.


Position Overview:

The Customer Consent Specialist plays a vital role in obtaining necessary permissions and approvals from property owners for vegetation management activities near utility infrastructure. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer relations, preferably in the utility or vegetation management industry.


This position is being offered part time, 20 hours per week. Work locations will generally be in and around Santa Barbara County, LA County, Ventura County.  Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for property owners regarding vegetation management activities near utility infrastructure.
  • Communicate with property owners to obtain consent for tree trimming, pruning, and vegetation clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements such as PRC 4292 and company policies.
  • Educate property owners about the importance of vegetation management for maintaining the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to schedule vegetation management activities based on approved consent forms.
  • Gain access to structures safely
  • Ensure accurate documentation of customer consent forms and related correspondence in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Report any safety concerns promptly to team leads or relevant personnel, fostering a culture of open communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline consent acquisition processes and improve customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service or related fields is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean driving record
  • Previous experience in customer service or customer relations, preferably in the utility or vegetation management industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to vegetation management near utility infrastructure is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using necessary software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in map reading and GPS navigation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.  Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites

Preferred:

  • 1 year of experience in vegetation management or landscaping
  • Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI standards (OSHA Certifications a plus)
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • 3 years Customer service experience, preferably in a management position

 

All candidates must pass background and MVR checks, as well as a pre-employment drug test. Regular and random drug and alcohol screenings will be conducted during employment. Employees are required to provide their own hard toe lace-up safety boots in good condition and possess a valid driver’s license or. Proficiency in English is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week Monday - Friday
