Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Floor Supervisor in the production department is responsible for overseeing the production (embroidery & heat seal) departments by providing support to shift manager, and ensuring efficient workflow.  The production department applies logos using various surface ornamentation techniques to products such as hats, garments and other apparel. Production Department is also responsible to clean up the product, inspect logo quality, apply tickets or UPC stickers, fold garments, bag product, etc. to ensure excellent quality and on-time delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the shift manager overseeing approx. 50-70 production employees
  • Supports Command Center
  • Distribute and prioritize work for team members
  • Check orders
  • Ensure quality, labeling and packaging
  • Ensure on-time delivery
  • Train operators for quality/production in garments and caps
  • Participates in the interview process for new candidates for employment
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred but no required

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to read instructions in English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess initiative, energy and drive
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and relevant computer programs
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and management

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Oversee 50-70 direct and indirect employees in all production areas
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands, fingers and arms.
  • Ability to (occasionally) demonstrate fine dexterity skills.
  • Ability to (occasionally) climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to (occasionally) push or pull.

Vision Requirements
  • Close and distance vision.
  • Color vision.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to moderate noise level.
