Position Summary

The Director of Crisis Center reports to the Director of Programs & Grants and is responsible for the organization’s day-to day operations and administrative tasks of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Center. Oversees and ensures that the Crisis Center is following the service goals and other requirements specified in grants.


Job Description:


1. Responsible for all grant data collection and financial and statistical reporting and submit reports to appropriate grant entities,

Finance Director and Executive Director.

2. Develop and implement Crisis Center Annual Strategic Plan.

3. Responsible for fiscal management of the Crisis Center in conjunction with the Finance Director and Executive Director.

4. Perform direct services to victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence

5. Oversee development of any new program, policies, forms, and community presentations.

6. Evaluate programs’ needs, operational trends and staff, as well as implement needed changes with prior approval of Executive

Director.

7. Research and write grants with final review and approval of Executive Director.

8. Maintain relationships with grant funding sources, community service providers, and community, professional, and structural

education organizations.

9. Provide community outreach activities, such as but not limited to public speaking and presentations on prevention with entities

supporting and using the Domestic and Sexual Assault Services.

10. Facilitate training and outreach presentations such as Community Education, Structured Education, and Professional.

11. Promote and increase community awareness of the Crisis Center in the community.

12. Oversee and participate in rotation of hotline coverage.

13. Oversee support group activities and facilitate as needed.

14. Oversee volunteer recruitment, retention and training program.

15. Ensure compliance with KCM 40-hour volunteer training standard and grant requirement of number of volunteers.

16. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports required by grant(s) and KCM to Executive Director as well as to designated

funding sources.

17. Oversee the continual education and training of staff and volunteers.

18. Conduct yearly, and as needed employee performance evaluations and submit to Executive Director for approval.

19. Attend assigned board meetings, weekly staff meetings, staff development training, and special events/fundraisers.

20. Coordinate the Silent Witness Program and Sexual Assault Awareness Month events with approval of Executive Director.

21. Oversee maintenance of client files (confidentially and OAG requirements).

22. Prepare payroll and grant timesheets weekly and submit to Human Resources Manager.

23. Submit office supply orders with prior approval from Executive Director.

24. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a management position

2. Minimum 1-3 years related experience in case management services

3. Knowledge of computer software an asset i.e. Microsoft Office, Apricot Social Solutions.

4. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree

5. Fluency in Spanish and English an asset.
