POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable Department with processing vendor invoices for payment and other special projects as needed.

REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists the Accounts Payable Department as needed, which can include the following tasks:

  • Stamping vendor invoices and calculating the appropriate due dates and discounts
  • Inputting invoice and inventory receipt information into a spreadsheet so that differences can be identified
  • Entering vendor invoices into the system to be paid and verifying that the payments match the invoices
  • Processing drop ship orders
  • Comparing vendor statements with our records and providing information regarding outstanding items

Assist with department special projects, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Accounts Payable Assistant must have at least one year of experience in either an accounts payable or administrative capacity and must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of the Accounts Payable Assistant, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision ability required including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
