AR Consultants, Inc. (ARC) is an archaeology consulting company located in Richardson, TX. ARC is a small business with a highly collaborative company culture. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team.

ARC is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist and Safety Coordinator to fill a full-time, regular, exempt position working in our Richardson office. This is not a remote position.

In your cover letter, please address your experience with small businesses in Texas including safety training, policy development, conflict resolution, and other relevant experiences. Please also tell us why you would like to work for ARC, specifically, and include a list of references.

This individual will be responsible for the following non-exhaustive list of duties:

- Coordinate and instruct employee safety training
- Maintain physical and digital employee files
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local HR legislation
- Communicate with employees and management about HR legislation
- Track and implement employee corrective action as needed in coordination with management team
- Answer HR related questions from all levels of staff
- Benefits administration (in coordination with manager of operations)
- Update handbook policies as needed
- Assist with workers compensation cases
- Assist management team with annual employee evaluations
- Create job posts and conduct candidate pre-screening
- Conduct reference, background, and MVR checks
- Hire and onboard new employees
- Offboard exiting employees
- Other duties as assigned, based on candidates skill set

Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in HR or related field
- 5 years experience in human resources
- Current PHR/SPHR certification
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the US
- Knowledge of HR laws for companies greater than and fewer than 50 employees
- Positive attitude
- Empathy
- Integrity
- Preference given to individuals with experience at companies with off-site/outdoor crews
- Must be able to work in-person 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-noon Friday
