We're looking to onboard a dependable self-driven 2nd shift Maintenance Technician looking to have an impact on our food operations

Location: on the Corridor Connector transit system Rt. 340/522 service area

About the Position The 2ndshift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all plant and warehouse equipment to ensure 100% uptime.

Successful candidates will possess the following Qualifications:

  • Prior maintenance experience in the food industry.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting: Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors
  • Electrical troubleshooting: Basic PLC troubleshooting, Ac/Dc circuits. 3 phase power, VFD & motor controls, Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Pneumatic troubleshooting: Cylinders, Valves, Compressors.
  • Skilled in Tig welding, fabrication, and other shop equipment.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years multi-craft experience required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Follow all company Safety procedures and Quality GMP's
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
  • Maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance repair.
  • Working with the production team to change over the machine and adjust for maximum efficiency while minimizing waste.
  • Assistance in overseeing outside contractors during equipment installations or building construction.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, safety design and quality improvement process.
  • Work second shift, off shift and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to routinely perform strenuous physical labor.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment.

The ideal candidate

  • 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance in a production environment. (Food MFG preferred)
  • High school diploma or a GED certificate required.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
