Mount Indie is hiring a Field Engineer to provide technical assistance, maintenance and upgrades to SATCOM equipment overseas. The ideal fit for this role will have a experience as a SATCOM technician and an understanding of Signals Intelligence and System Administration. As a field engineer you will travel to Italy, Japan, Hawaii and/or Qatar to support these systems. You'll be provided with prerequisite training to be successful in maintaining and troubleshooting SATCOM systems. This team will work in 60day OCONUS rotations twice a year.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance in support of operating commercial or military systems, including SATCOM systems.
  • Provides system services in the areas of maintenance, testing, operations, logistics, integration, and installation as directed.
  • Provides system and network administration to training and operational systems as required.
  • Provides on-site Subject Matter Expertise (SME) as a Field Service Representative (FSR) on military two-satellite geolocation systems and SATCOM equipment.
  • Provides technical assistance to daily operations, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance of these military systems.
  • Coordinates with more senior SME/Field Engineers as required to resolve operational and technical deficiencies within the systems.


Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience required, to include operational space, satellite communications, and/or military intelligence experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Security + CE certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • Physical requirements: Work will involve climbing on military equipment, and will require being able to lift, carry, or move items up to approximately forty pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Geolocation experience.
  • Experience operating or maintaining Electronic or Electromagnetic Warfare systems.
  • Experience with multi-frequency band (C, Ku, Ka, and X Bands) satellite terminals.
  • Computer system/network administration or maintenance experience.
  • Systems Engineering and Linux experience preferred.
  • Active Security + CE Certification.
