Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Digital Press Operator (Sheet-fed) are to operate and maintain the Digital HP 30000 Press. Task will include, but not are not limited to set up, run, and maintaining equipment daily.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees that all safety procedures are being followed by all crew members and that any unsafe conditions are corrected or reported to the supervisor.
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance as related to safety, productivity, quality and service through appropriate preventive maintenance procedures and documentation to verify conformance.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets.
  • Responsible for maintaining and understanding all tools and instruments necessary to operate and maintain the press.
  • Informs Supervisor as to parts or service required to keep the press performing at the maximum level.
  • Cooperates with other departments when interaction is necessary for job production.
  • Perform these and other duties as requested.
  • Demonstrate the ability to start up and operate the press efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in the digital print industry a plus but not required
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, good eye for color
  • Ability to follow instructions to assist in operation and maintenance
  • Able to work overtime when needed
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Positive attitude and team player

Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold). The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and dust and/or mite hazards. The employee must be prepared to respond to emergencies should they occur. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

Schedule: 2:30pm - 11pm M-F with overtime as needed
