JOB DUTIES:
- Client's high-profile SoC Platform Engineering team is seeking a hardworking system-engineering lab technician to help test the latest SoC products and contribute to issue identification, replication, and problem resolution.
- This role will be pivotal in bringing client's next generation SoC based products into Data Center products.
- Sr. Technician is responsible for the deployment of NPI engineering projects involving client IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debug of the client server hardware infrastructure.
- Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies.
- Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities.
- Deploy and maintain Virtualized Infrastructure as well as any associated network dependencies.
- Setup up environment for containerized infrastructure and administer deployment of containers.
- Deploy and maintain NPI server products while overseeing the efforts of other engineers and contractors.
- Configure and manage VLANs on managed switches across Datacenter environment.
- Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, both written and oral
- High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in areas of data center system deployment, software development, and validation.
- Hands-On experience with VMware and Windows hypervisor.
- Hands-On experience with vSphere, vCenter and replication.
- Experience with containerized environment using Docker. Familiarity with container orchestration tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
- Ability to function independently with little direct supervision.
- CompTIA Server+ or similar certification is preferred.
- Should be able to travel on short notices.
- Physical Requirements Candidate needs to be able to lift 50lbs and be flexible enough to get under a raised floor as needed.
- 6+ years' experience in high tech industry
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Skilled in MS Office tool suites, Confluence, MS SharePoint
