Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Job Location: Austin, TX 78723
Job Type: Contract
Job Duties:
* Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.
* Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations.
* Anticipate changes during cases that indicate necessary information, such as catheter position.
* Accurately identify and communicate patient condition changes to the physician and team.
* Routinely perform patient testing and/or monitoring to include oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, hemodynamic calculations and other intra-procedure testing and resulting as applicable.
* Demonstrate knowledge and variation of procedures, including the equipment/supplies used for performance.
* Demonstrate proper handling, preparation, and maintain asepsis.
* Anticipate and adapt to physician and case needs.
* Assist with room setup, patient transport and post-procedure clean-up.
* Ensure infection control and sharp safety procedures are followed regarding waste and reusable products.
* Perform patient education regarding post-procedure monitoring and care of catheter insertion site.
* Provide instructions and information regarding activity including normal, variant and issues requiring intervention.
Job Requirements:
* RT-R ARRT or RCIS - Required
* 1+ year of experience as a Cath Lab Technician- Required
* Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab performing, Heart, IR, and EP procedures - Required
* Experience in Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab performing - Highly preferred
* Local candidates accepted
