The City of Blair is seeking a hardworking and reliable Utilities Worker to join our team This is your chance to be part of a team that keeps our city's water and sewer systems running smoothly. If you like working with your hands, solving problems, and supporting your community, we want to hear from you

What You'll Do:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on water and sewer lines.
  • Flush hydrants, replace water meters and ensure everything is working properly.
  • Mark utility lines for construction projects and respond to service requests.
  • Collect water samples and report any issues to our water treatment team.
  • Be part of our snow removal crew and collaborate with the Streets Department on large-scale projects.
  • Provide support to other city departments as needed.
What You Bring:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in utility repair, construction, or general maintenance.
  • A commitment to getting your Grade 4 Nebraska Water Operator's License within your first year.
  • A team-player attitude and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.
