Overview:

Essential Job Functions:
Manage and complete projects within the Natural Resources Practice Area, including Federal Nationwide Permits (NWPs) and Standard Individual Permits (IPs) under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA).
Perform ArcGIS Mapping, Federal Jurisdictional Determinations, Local Issuing Authority verifications, and sediment loading assessments.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of technical reports.
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
Write professional and technical reports.
Assist with technical proposal preparation.
Develop and maintain department databases and informational resources.
Create and maintain report templates to meet industry protocols.
Coordinate client report revisions and represent Natural Resource Services professionally to clients.
Required Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related environmental/engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of five years of experience in Aquatic Resource Delineations and/or Natural Resources Permitting.
Proficiency in ArcGIS and AutoCAD software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously with a sense of urgency.
Knowledge of standard software packages (Microsoft Office and Adobe). Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint is preferred.
Physical Demands, Overtime, and Travel Requirements:
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Overtime: This salaried position, classified as exempt under FLSA, typically requires work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Periodic overtime is necessary to meet job demands.
Travel Requirements: 20% or more travel.
